Today, let’s take a look at the sea as well as a shrimp farm here in China.

My client’s farm is located on a separate island in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province. Just look at this beautiful weather!

The farmer pumps seawater right beside the shore into his culture ponds.

This worked well in earlier years when the seawater quality was good.

Yet in recent years, the seawater has been infected with microsporidian spores. Once these spores get into young shrimp, the shrimp will stop growing. No matter how much feed they eat, they will not gain weight. Worse still, the infection can spread repeatedly across the whole pond.

That is why our client turned to us for an ultra‑filtration water‑purification system.

Microsporidian spores are about 1‑2μm in size, which cannot be removed by ordinary sand filters. An outside‑in ultrafiltration membrane with a pore size of 0.03μm can physically trap these free‑floating spores in the water and stop the spread of microsporidia at the source.
